第一天見工時我就知道在百本工作會是非常忙碌、辛苦的。在實習的三個月裡，我見識到博覽會所需要的準備功夫究竟是有多繁重！百本還會出版雜誌、不定期舉行免費講座等等，我就在參與這些活動的過程中獲得了一些寶貴的經驗，亦令我和其他實習生多了一個共同話題。感謝各位同事對我的幫助！祝你們事業順利！

作為今年暑假年紀最小的實習生，我感到非常榮幸。今個暑假，我得到一個很多朋友都得不到的機會，就是加入百本。我學到與人溝通及處世待人的方式、接觸到社會、了解到一間公司的運作、累積到經驗，亦了解到自己的長處和不足。這個暑假，還是值得的！

Working at Bamboos was indeed an exceptionally challenging job. My fellow colleagues here at Bamboos are all very competent. On top of that, they had a sense of satisfaction from their accomplishment, especially when we successfully helped nurses and clients to solve their problems. I was arranged to work in the Accounting Department during these months, I was grateful that I was given this opportunity to learn something out of my field of study. Thanks to Bamboos, I had an unforgettable “first”.

Unlike other summer job, being as an intern in Bamboos was a valuable experience with unforgettable memories to me. On my first day of work, I had already been assigned for a presentation preparation for an ongoing big project. I was very appreciated by having the faith from Bamboos. This enhanced my motivation to work and also enhanced my self-confidence.

In this one and the half month internship, I had been assigned varieties of work from different departments including administration, accounting, customer services and mainly the marketing departments. Frankly, it was busy to work under Bamboos every single day. However, the high efficiency and multi-job culture here had made me gain a lot and they were all hard to obtain from the textbook. Meanwhile, whenever I got enquires, the supervisors and colleagues were all friendly and helpful to guide. Thoughout their full team support it made me learn even more.

Instead of the substantial experience I gained and having a basic outlook of how marketing runs, I learnt about the social-communication, strong selling skill and efficiency in which I believe are the essential factors to succeed in the future.

I hereby send all my thankfulness to Bamboos for giving me such a great opportunity to work here and I wish Bamboos every success in the future.

每年的暑假我都會充分利用，將之變得充實。直到在百本完成了兩個月的暑期實習後，我才明白到何為充實。過往的暑假我都是在快餐店中熬過，而今年暑假我嘗試了不一樣的工作，到百本當實習生。這兩個月轉眼就完結了，驀然回首，由當初入公司時的懵懂，到現在收穫了很多無法從課本上死記硬背的實踐經驗，這些都是十分寶貴的。在這段日子中，我並不止是工作，而是從工作中了解到辦公室的基本運作，與同事相處之道。同時提升了交際技巧、溝通技巧和合作精神，相信這些都是終身受用的。藉此機會，感謝百本給我一個鍛煉的機會，在日後的日子，我會將所學到的應用到生活上，同時不斷增值自己，向自己的夢想繼續進發。

From day one after I had my meeting with Jacky, I knew this is no ordinary internship. In many other summer internships, one would expect their first day or even their first week to be a warming up period, where you would just be asked to perform simple office routines like photocopying. In Bamboos, this situation does not exist. In fact, on my third day of work, I was made the PIC of a health seminar and later on, the PIC of a 5-day expo. The degree of trust my colleagues and in particular my manager, Anthea, had on me is vast. This has allowed me to stretch my creativity and accomplished a range of diverse tasks I have never tried. The sense of achievement these experiences have given me will definitely benefit me in pursing my future career. I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to all my colleagues for their guidance. =)

Bamboos is the first place I worked at after moving back to Hong Kong. The work ethic here is very different from my previous full time and summer jobs. Everyone at Bamboos is expected to meet close-to-perfect standards and my colleagues are all over-achievers. Stress is inevitable at fast paced working environments like Bamboos, but this factor also pushes for self development. Day by day, different tasks and projects are thrown at me. Some I find a challenge and others less difficult. At Bamboos, the wide range of endless duties I am responsible for force me to face my weaknesses, and give me the chance to improve. Not to mention, the management also has the gift to catch everyone’s strengths and puts those at full use. Unlike many other summer internships, Bamboos does not limit the temporary employee’s tasks to brain numbing data entry. The variety of tasks for summer interns is as vast as any other regular employee. Being part of Bamboos has been a great learning experience and made this a rewarding summer.

Frankly speaking, most interns would probably end up being “human-photocopiers”. However, it was really not the case at Bamboos. During my internship, I had opportunities to work with various departments, and I was also in charge of several interesting projects. Indeed, two months does not seem like a long time, but with Jacky’s and all my other colleagues’ assistance, I was able to understand our company’s operation from bottom to top. It is my pleasure to say, “Working at Bamboos is definitely a precious and fun experience.”

This internship gave me hands-on experience of how marketing is carried out in the medical field. I was able to contribute to several marketing projects and obtain direct interaction with clients. The overall culture and atmosphere of Bamboos is very friendly and energetic. My colleagues are extremely helpful and gave me a lot of practical advice. I enjoyed every fruitful moment at Bamboos and I'm sure this experience will contribute to my future career growth!
